Andrea was a partner at the world’s largest law firm – doing both plaintiff and defense work before working in sports, entertainment and non-profits, then founding the Kimball Law Group. Now she is able to use her 30 years experience for individuals, teams and companies looking for an aggressive yet pragmatic problem solver.
She has extensive experience in complex business disputes, labor and employment counseling and litigation, intellectual property, entertainment, sports & NIL law, non-competition law, and licensing. Her career is highlighted by many trial and arbitration victories including a $20+ million-dollar jury verdict in federal court plus attorneys’ fees - reported as a top verdict of 2007.
Along the way she has represented pro sports teams, athletes and celebrities as lead counsel in wins for clients Simon Cowell, Nigel Lythgoe, Simon Fuller, Fox and Sony Music in multiple courts, relating to the television programs "American Idol," "So You Think You Can Dance," "Dancing with the Stars," and "America's Got Talent”. She has also litigated against notables like Larry Flynt.
She serves as outside fractional general counsel to professional sports teams and helped establish a family office and charitable foundation. Andrea also uses her SafeSport expertise to serve as a Player Safety Officer. Experienced in family offices, non-profit risk management, insurance law and employment, Andrea has always been a competitor with a Midwestern work ethic. She was Editor in Chief of the law review, Voted Most Outstanding Law Grad for her graduating class, and then served as a Federal Court law clerk. Andrea also played D1 basketball and softball.
